Colin Scotts
Director
Colin made history as the first Australian drafted into the NFL, gaining popularity for his explosive moves and signature 'kangaroo hop' celebration while playing for the St. Louis Cardinals, Arizona Cardinals, and Houston Oilers. However, his career came at a cost, with multiple concussions and head knocks from his time in Rugby, NFL, and wrestling. Colin later became a powerful speaker, sharing his story with NFL alumni, raising awareness of the mental health and cognitive decline issues faced by players. Tragically, he has seen many of his teammates pass away due to brain-related diseases. Many Australian football players also struggle, with little hope from the medical world. In his 40s, Colin returned to Sydney, serving as a Federal Ambassador for health, advocating for good nutrition and exercise. In his 50s, after being diagnosed with cognitive decline, he fought back with the same determination that got him to the NFL, improving his cognitive ability by 10%. Now, he’s an advocate for brain health through Brain4life, a charity he co-founded to promote brain health research, education, and support programs. Colin’s unique journey continues to inspire hope.
